0:12.3	he never leaves us to face the darkness alone. One of the great blessings of the 23rd Psalm
0:18.4	is the promise of the shepherd's presence. Thou art with me.
0:23.6	Let's join Scott Pauli now as he continues this series, The Shepherd of the Shadows. No one spreads a table like Jesus spreads a table.
0:43.0	We're returning today to Psalm 23 to learn more about the presence of Christ in our life.
0:49.4	And the fact that when the Lord is with us, we have no reason to fear because every need is met.
0:54.4	We've learned already that in the presence of the Lord, there is protection.
0:58.6	The protector is with me.
1:00.7	He said, thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
1:05.5	So he's protecting us.
1:07.6	And what a great comfort and peace that is.
1:09.7	Then he continues in verse number five with
1:11.3	these words, thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.
1:17.7	Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. And so today we learn something not only
1:25.0	about the Lord's protection, but about the Lord's provision,
1:29.0	how God provides for us.
1:32.4	And notice what he provides.
1:34.0	The Bible says here that in the midst of all of it, he provides food.
1:37.8	Now think with me just a minute.
1:39.7	If you're walking through the valley of the shadow of death, most of the time, people,
1:44.4	when they get near the end of their life, they lose appetite.
1:48.0	They don't really want to eat.
