And with this prayer, asa, and the people of Judah defeat a million of their

enemies in that moment who had gathered together against them. And what a

prayer he had prayed. Oh, Lord, there is none like you to help help us. Oh, Lord,

our God, for we rely on you just as we prayed in the previous podcast episode

based on 2 Chronicles chapter 13 verse 18. The men of Judah relied on God. Here is

Asa relying on God and looking to God for help. And isn't that in and of

itself an awesome thought that God is our help that God is your help today amidst

whatever you're walking through amidst whatever you have on your schedule

today or tomorrow. God is available, accessible, wants to be your helper. He wants

to help you amidst everything in your life for you to say to him on a daily basis.

Help me. Oh, God, for I rely on you. And in your name, asa says, we have come

against this multitude to go forward in the name of God, in the presence of God with

the confidence that only God can bring. Asa says, oh, Lord, you are our God. Let not man

prevail against you. What a picture there. Asa knows that when he goes into battle,

he's going into battle. And God is with him. And so it's not let not man prevail against

us. It's let not man prevail against you. Even what we see is we get into the New Testament.

Jesus identifies himself with his church when he says to Saul, why are you persecuting me

when Saul is persecuting the church? Jesus basically saying, when you are messing with the church,

you're messing with me. Oh, this picture of God, identifying with his people as their help,

as their defender, as their provider and protector. This is our God. This is your God today,

for all who have trusted in Jesus. This is your God. So let's cry together to the Lord,
