I would say we've been in a race all along.

The more virus that is out there, the more virus that is replicating, the more likely

that we are going to have mutations and variants.

So not only do we need to vaccinate, but we need for people to wear masks.

We need all of these other mitigation strategies so that we can decrease the amount of virus

that is circulating and therefore decrease the amount of variants that are out there.

So that's the new CDC director.

To my mind, the Biden administration is spending way too much time trying to allure the

bar and blame Trump so that they've got an easy bar to hop over like this whole 100 million

doses on 100 days.

The big thing though is you say you got these new strains of the virus that are spread

and faster and great Britain announced on Friday.

Not only does the British strain spread about 50% faster, which is way more dangerous, way

more dangerous than if you had a scarier disease that spread at the same rate.

The math is just way different on that.
