Summary

Robert had a twitter meltdown last weekend, so this episode goes into it somewhat and Robert actually tells us what his thoughts were.

So lastly, subscribe to Fully Charged podcast, its free after all, leave us a 5* rating a review on Apple Podcasts (as we get told about those ones), checkout the fully charged show website, for a new range of sustainable merchandise, our book The Fully Charged Guide to Electric Vehicles & Clean Energy and our A to Z guide which sorts out the week from the chaff with regards who are the decent suppliers which has a message in line with our own.

Lastly Patreon, a million and one thank yous from me and the whole team, without your financial help every month I wouldn't have come into the show originally as an editor and I know a world without Robert doing Fully Charged would be rather dull and uneventful. Again, from our whole team, thank you for your support.

There is one last thing actually, I am currently in the midst of persuading Robert that we need AMA, or ask me anything take over of the podcast on a semi-regular basis. So with this in mind, if you have a question you would like to put to Robert or the team here, Chelsea, Helen, Maddie or the production team in general, why don't you record a voice memo on your phone and send it to production@fullycharged.show and I will endeavour to make your voices heard (just bare in mind we expect a rather large number of these memos, so keep it short and snappy, anything under 60 seconds is preferable) the better the question the better chance you have of making it on the show.

Thats your lot for this week. So if you have been, thank you for listening.

The Hello and welcome to the fully charged show podcast. Now this is a

0:28.0

slightly unusual episode in that it's kind of me doing a bit of a solo philosophical music.

0:34.4

You may not want to listen to it, but I think...

0:37.4

Some of you will relate to this very strongly,

0:39.4

some of you will understand what I'm struggling to communicate and some of you think I'm an absolute idiot

0:46.0

and that is perfectly normal reasonable and extremely understandable but there's

0:50.9

a couple of things I've always had trouble understanding and I just want to remind you this is actually going to be about

0:57.8

The the big picture of electric vehicles and renewable energy and the future of energy and transport.

1:04.0

It is about that, but it's just been a bit of a complicated few days.

1:09.3

The things I've always had trouble like really understanding are heroes and religion.

1:15.0

There were times in my misspent teens back in the 1970s when I would meet a very cool

1:20.1

long-haired hippie dude who spoke in gentle's philosophical terms about being Van, you know,

1:27.7

like finding the middle way and seeing the Tao and all that stuff, you know, I thought it was great at the time he told me

1:34.4

that I had to be in touch with my sensitivity and find the calm with air and I'd be

1:39.6

really impressed I have to say this guy the one I'm actually thinking of was an American. He was

1:45.2

very stoned all the time but I was young and impressionable and he was such a

1:49.0

mature dude with his long tangled hair and his grateful dead t-shirt. I didn't know anyone who had a grateful

1:54.4

dead t shirt. It's the first one I've never seen. His jeans were faded and patched in just the

1:58.8

right way. He wore beads on his wrist. He'd smoked a tiny hashpipe he'd brought in Morocco, he was just my hero.

2:05.4

I worshipped the ground he walked on, I wanted to be like him.

2:09.5

And then I witnessed him shout something really unpleasant and hateful to his girlfriend.

2:14.1

He was really unpleasant, it's horrible and that put a bit of a crimp on the whole
