I saw an interesting little thing that's kind of a pop culture change, but it's going to make you super happy, Bob.

So the Coke company, Coca-Cola Company, is retiring the green plastic bottles that Sprite has been coming in for more than 60 years.

Sprite will no longer be in a green plastic bottle.

And this is not, well, this is the part you're going to love.

This is not because they're

trying to get your attention or have some sort of marketing campaign. Effective yesterday. So

today was the first day that they stopped pouring Sprite into green bottles, although you'll

probably still see some green bottles on the shelves for the rest of the summer as the supply goes.

But yesterday was the first day of the new bottle.

And here's why those green plastic bottles, the Sprite comes in and fresca.

And I think there's a couple of other drinks that come in green bottles.

Anyway, that green plastic has an additive in it that means it can't be recycled into new bottles.

So it's just garbage.

And Coke said, we're trying to help the planet and we're trying to reduce waste.

And one way we can do that is to use clear bottles because when you have a clear Sprite bottle

or a clear Coke bottle or whatever, that can be recycled into a new bottle.

So they're just trying to do their part to keep stuff out of plastic and stuff out of the landfill.
