Well, our scriptural text today comes from the fifth division of the book of Psalms,

verse 17, 7 through 13, reading from the New Living Translation of the Scriptures.

Here you'll find these words,

O my people, listen as I speak, here are my charges against you, O Israel. I'm God, your God.

I have no complaint about your sacrifices or the burnt offerings you constantly offer,

but I do need, I do not need the bulls from your barns or the goats from your pens for all the animals of the forest are mine and I own the cattle on a thousand hills

I know every bird on the mountains and all the animals of the field are mine

if I were hungry I would not tell you for all the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for all the world is mine

and everything in it. Do I eat the meat of bulls? Do I drink the blood of goats? I'm speaking to you today

from the subject simply, no bull no more bull no more this was God talking to

Israel and Israel is a type for us as New Testament believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are Christ followers.

And so in the New Testament, following Jesus Christ now, we become partakers of the blessings of Abraham by faith. And it was one way of God saying to the children

of Israel, listen, I don't need any of the stuff that you have. God was really saying, I want you.

It is so easy to give of what you have instead of giving yourself.

And this is God's way of saying, I don't want your stuff.

This is not about your offerings.

It's not about your sacrifice.

This is not about tides and offering.

This is God saying, I want you.

See, you can return tithes and give offerings and still

not give God you God wants you God wants you I want you to hear that loudly and clearly
