Wow, you know, occasionally, sometimes, news breaks before the show, every now and then.

When I saw Jeff Merrick tweet this morning, there's a movement in Philly, I thought,

maybe they made a post-trade deadline trade, because it's still possible to post-trade deadline to

make a trade. I thought, perhaps, Kevin Hayes to Columbus. Because the trade deadline, if you don't know,

is just, are you eligible for the playoffs? Yeah, you're allowed to make trades after the deadline.

It's just, you know, Kevin Hayes, if he were to be traded to the Blue Jackets, wouldn't be eligible

to play in the playoffs, one, because it was after the deadline, too, because it would be to the Blue Jackets.

Yeah, but that's not what happened. Somebody that Steve has been on for years.

And it actually surprised, Jesse, you remember the episode where Steve brought it up for the

first time, and he and the take started with the Minnesota Wild Cause, the last lockout.

Yeah, you're so upset. That happened when we were recording it like Rogers.

Yeah. You know, like way back five years ago, maybe. And Steve went in and Minnesota Wild

Fan was like, what did we ever do to you, man? Yeah, and it had nothing to do with the Minnesota

Wild themselves. Right. And everything to do with their ownership and Chuck Fletcher being the

vessel that ownership used to murder the NHL and usher it into a lockout.

And this is morning happens when you earn your way to the top through hard work.

That's right. Because your first job is something you got because of your resume.

Something entry level like assistant GM to the penguins, Panthers, Panthers, whatever.

Listen, Chuck Fletcher was let go this morning. It's funny. I've never seen Philadelphia Flyers fans

and New York Rangers fans happy about the same thing at the same time. And yet here we are.

Rangers fans were. Rangers fans are loving it just because something bad has happened to Philadelphia

fans. Oh, and Philadelphia fans are happy because, um, well, that's, that's over. But I don't know
