Hello there. You have found the morning mindset. This is my opportunity and your

opportunity to get our minds aligned with the truth of God's word today.

I want to talk to you for just a moment about the idea of slavery.

That's a very real thing for many people around the globe.

Did you know that slavery still exists in a very physical, tangible way for many people?

Today the Apostle Paul is going to be speaking to us about a different kind of slavery.

And it is slavery to the power called sin.

We're going to get into that in just a moment in Roman 6th through 7 so get out your

Bibles and if you have one of our morning mindset journals go ahead and get that out

Okay, we are going to pray before we get into Roman 6 verses 6 through 7 because the Lord has some great things to tell us that sometimes are hard for us to grasp and I want his Holy

Spirit to help us.

So Lord, we are asking you to be our guide, our teacher, the very power we need to

understand your word. We ask it in Jesus' name. Amen.

Okay friends, Romans 6 verses 6 through 7. The Apostle says, we know that our old self was crucified with him in order

that the body of sin might be brought to nothing so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.

For one who has died has been set free from sin.

Okay, friends, but let's go back to that very first verse,
