I don't think you have to do things for money anymore. Correct. What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Filmroom podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius. And the Lakers fell to the Celtics 11-101. But that was not the headline. LeBron James hurts his groin. Going to be out at least one to two weeks. We're going to talk more about that as the pod goes on, D, because the Lakers end up on the other side of the weekend, right? Last pod we did was titled eight straight. We got a game tonight where it's like, holy crap, we've got like two players over six foot six going to be active for the game and how the heck do we win? But, yeah, I want to start with the game against the Celtics.

Lakers scored 20 points in the first six minutes of that game, and then the Fawcett got turned off.

That game sent me down a rabbit hole of watching every one-on-one possession the Lakers have played since Luca joined the team and watching other teams and how they beat switches and how they

attack in one-on-ones. And that's going to be a huge topic on this pod from here going forward because that is the key, I think, to unlocking the offense. And those are the situations where the Lakers have struggled a bit. I think the 20 points in the first six minutes, there are a lot of clues of where the Lakers need to go, and we'll get into more of that,

D. But Boston makes a push at the end of the second quarter, and then a huge run to start the third. Not unusual in Laker games for them to lose the start of the third quarter or the

third quarter altogether. And before you know it, Lakers are down 19, 20 points. Luca gets hot

after that, and the Lakers go on a run, make a push to four, but LeBron

gets hurt.

Lakers, you know, made a push, but Celtics were in control.

What do you see from Saturday's game, D?

Oh, man, there's so many different directions to go in.

The early part of the game where the Lakers were able to score was almost entirely due to shotmaking

and shot making from a variety of places.

And the idea of beating switches, I think, is going to come down a lot to shot making

and can your main ball handlers make off the dribble shots to a certain extent?
