Well, let me see here, I have not been with you, my friends, since last Thursday.

Friday and Monday were Christmas weekend, today's Tuesday. Wow, that's very rare.

And I hope you had a meaningful Christmas.

Not just Merry, but meaningful. Meaningful is a big deal. And it was a very touching thing

for those of us celebrating Hanukkah. It was the eighth day, the last day of Hanukkah,

and Christmas coincided. It's also very rare.

And it was a meaningful time for me and my family.

So welcome to the show. It's the last week of the year, and my producer and I decided that,

in general, we're just going to open the lines as if we're Friday, third hour,

for you to raise issues that you would like about whatever. And again, I always make

this appeal on Fridays. Don't be offended if I dropped your call before I took it.

There could be any number of reasons, and none of them are personal, obviously, since I don't know

to my column about adult children who have severed all contact with parents and not

allowed their parents to even see their grandchildren because they voted for Donald Trump or because
