I've always had a problem with one very specific call in the NHL. Well really it's not just in the

NHL, it's all hockey leagues. There's one very specific penalty that's always troubled me because I kind of feel like

it should reside in the Department of Redundancy Department. Like you know how people say general consensus as opposed to

consensus or in hockey people will say the slot area as opposed to I don't know slot.

There's a lot of useless words that we have in this sport. There's plenty of them. You probably have your own too.

Slott Area has always kind of been a pet peeve, as is original six. But that is for another day, as we've joked about before there's

original one that's the Montreal Canadians everybody else is an

expansion team shh shh but there's one penalty there's what I sorry I'm a little giddy on this Friday afternoon slash morning,

there's one penalty that's always bothered me.

And yesterday Jordan Bennington was suspended for two games for his actions against

Ryan Hartman of the Chicago Blah of the Minnesota Wild etc etc etc

etc etc. The penalty it's always bothered me is on sports such as such as such.

The penalty has always bothered me as unsportsman-like conduct.

Because if hockey started today, I don't know if you ever do this.

I do this all the time if hockey started today could you not completely disregard the

differentiation of penalties and just call all of them unsportsman-like conduct.

Think for one second.

Like there's the old saying, you know, the man of the university learns something every day,

the man of the Tao unlearned something every day.

Let's unlearn a lot of things that we've always assumed about hockey.

Starting with penalties.
