I was starting a new job after years of being at home with my children. While I had taught

dance classes through the years, my new position was not in the arts. The morning of my first day,

I sat at our dining table and opened up my laptop. I had received emails to help me in onboarding.

It involved computer tasks that were unfamiliar to me.

For the next hour, I tried walking through the steps that were offered, but to no avail.

I started to get anxious, feeling out of my depth, confused, and ill-prepared to learn something new.

And my fear was not helping my desire to figure things out

before I left for work. I grew up in Christian science, and I'm so grateful that in times of need,

I can recall helpful spiritual truths from years of Sunday school, church services, and my own Bible study.

In my moment of panic, I got still and turned my thought to God.

Now I could listen, and that was when I heard what I needed to hear. Words from science and health

with key to the scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. No wisdom is wise, but his wisdom. Right then, I was reminded that intelligence is divine and comes from God.

It doesn't come from me trying to humanly figure it all out. As God's spiritual idea, I express that

divine intelligence. I had no reason to fear. I don't even remember what steps I took to uncover what I was doing

wrong, but I was able to do what I needed to do. Whenever I saw something I didn't understand,

I knew that I didn't need to worry. As a reflection of God, I could and did have everything I needed.

What a blessing it is to know that intelligence isn't given to us an unequal measure. We aren't intelligent in certain ways, but not in others.

We all have complete access to divine intelligence. And knowing that can bring such peace and harmony.
