0:15.6	Okay, first Peter chapter five. Go to verse number five. I want to contrast tonight
0:23.8	the difference between pride versus humility. And I want to just together wrap our minds around
0:34.3	the idea of the devastating realities that pride will bring into your life versus the grace and the
0:44.0	reward that humility will bring. Because I think what God wants to do in Atlanta and what God
0:53.2	wants to do in Passion City is going to require a lot of humility. But even greater, let's go
1:00.8	personal. What God wants to do in your life. See, the good news for all of us is we don't have to
1:06.1	come up with a plan for our lives. God already has a plan. But it requires great humility
1:14.0	before the throne of God. It requires great humility in our lifestyles for God's kingdom to run
1:22.1	through our life. Anybody that would be your prayer that God's kingdom would run through your life.
1:27.0	You just got to get run as whole kingdom through you. Pride is the opposite. I'll never forget
1:34.2	when I was when I first moved to Los Angeles, the first time I was 18 years old when I moved to L.A.
1:39.3	in 1998. In fact, Julian, I were driving with our boys yesterday in the car and they were asking me,
1:46.3	when you went to college, were there cell phones yet? And I was like, no, fam, there was no cell phones yet.
1:53.2	I used to call my ex-girlfriend, Julia, I'll tell you about later. My ex-girlfriend, I used to call
1:58.3	from a pay phone. But on the weekends, I used to go to Biola University to visit my buddy from
2:03.7	high school. And he lived in this dorm at Biola, the Bible Institute of Los Angeles. And when you'd
2:11.9	walk into the dorm like the quadrant, there was this huge poster and it only had two words. Like,
2:19.6	the font was like 72, like my mom's cell phone, like it's this huge font. And it just had two words.
2:28.3	Pride sucks. And every time I walked by that poster, it was like it was talking to me. Pride will
2:37.6	suck the life right out of you. Pride will mess with you. It's pride that gets you from repenting.
