How am I really doing in NYC? Eight months in, and it’s time to get real about life in New York. I’ve shared glimpses of my excitement about the city, but behind the scenes, it’s been… different. I didn’t think moving here would feel this lonely, but leaving behind a tight-knit group of friends and adjusting to new rhythms has been harder than I ever expected. It’s tough to admit, but this might be the loneliest I’ve ever felt. In this episode, I’m opening up about what it’s really been like—navigating big-city life, missing familiar faces, and learning that making new friends as an adult isn’t as easy as it sounds. Sometimes, I find myself wishing for just one effortless conversation with people who know me. Between spending days mostly alone and feeling the weight of vulnerability fatigue, it’s been a rollercoaster. I’m still figuring it out, and I hope sharing this helps anyone else feeling a little out of place to know you’re not alone. 0:43.4	This is actually the first episode I'm recording after a whole month away from New York.
0:48.3	But I am currently back on the East Coast sitting in my closet and recording this episode. But before this, I was all over.
0:56.7	I was actually in the Bay Area for a full week because we had Ray's cousin Cassandra's wedding.
1:02.0	And I decided to spend a week there with my family because I haven't seen them since I moved.
1:05.8	And then from SF, I actually went to Vietnam for two weeks with my college friends, and that was a lot of fun.
1:12.0	And after Vietnam, I landed in Los Angeles to do some ABG work for almost two weeks.
1:18.4	And then after that, I actually went to Cabo for a weekend.
1:21.1	I forgot about that.
1:21.8	I went to Cabo for a good friend's wedding.
1:23.7	And then after Cabo, I landed back in New York.
1:26.8	And as much as I've had so much fun, it feels really nice to be back with Ray in New York.
1:32.5	I feel like I can only live out of my suitcase for so long.
1:35.8	And to be quite honest, traveling nowadays for me, like flying is really hard.
