I am joined this week by not just basketball, but movie savant, Aria Shirazi.

And let me tell you why I brought Aria back.

We did a show at the end of 2024 about baseball movies.

And it got a wide listenership.

And I received feedback that said, why don't you talk about what you think of the top non-baseball movies?

Now, the tough thing about that is that if you take out boxing, for example, which has so many great movies,

once you get past boxing and baseball, it's really a cut below in terms of all-time sports movies, but they all still

deserve discussion, and maybe part of that discussion is why they don't work in the first

place.

So we're going to talk about the most highly regarded, that's a good way to put it, non-baseball, non-boxing sports movies.

Why non-boxing?

Because it's too easy.

Too many boxing movies.

But we're going to talk about them in a way that's critical.

And I can't think of anybody I'd want to talk about this more with

than the guy you wanted to hear more from about movies.
