Romans 8, 1 through 4.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from

the law of sin and of death. For what the law could not do weak as it was through the flesh God did, sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and as an offering for sin he condemns sin in the flesh so that the requirement of the law might be

fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the

spirit.

Father in heaven, I thank you for the people in front of me and the people behind me,

people above me, people above me.

And we are trembling at the thought that you want to speak to us now, because if you didn't

shield us with the righteousness of Jesus, one word from your mouth would incinerate us,

sinners that we are.

So with fear and trembling, we gladly take our position under your word and ask that you would speak.

Help me to be faithful to the scriptures and help us to have minds that are conformed not to this world but to Christ so that they can grasp what is written.

Protect us from the evil one, Father, I pray.

Don't let him pluck it off the path or choke it out or dried up.

Save the lost.

Strengthen the Saints, heal the sick, reconcile the estranged, encourage the

downhearted, befriend the lonely, direct the confused, give light to

those in darkness.

Humble the proud.

And do a thousand more things that I can't even ask with your living and active word which is sharper

than a two-edged sword piercing to the division of soul and spirit, bone and marrow, and able to judge the secrets of the heart.
