All right, as we dig into Romans 8 verses 1 and 2, we are going to need God's help.

So let's pray for it right now.

Our Father, we know that your word is powerful.

And I have found Romans 8, 1, and 2 to be very powerful in my own life. And so I really

want to see my brothers and sisters find freedom from these verses. I ask you, Lord, to apply it to

their hearts and minds today. In Jesus' name, amen. Okay, friends, I feel like we've gotten to a place in the book of Romans where we've turned a corner.

Paul has spent the first seven chapters kind of laying out the sad state we all find ourselves in

because of the power of sin in our world and what is done to our lives.

And right at the end of chapter 7, he tells us, thanks be to God through Jesus Christ,

because he has provided a way of deliverance for us, not only deliverance from the consequences

of sin, which we're going to talk about a little bit today in verse 1, but also from the consequences of sin, which we're going to talk about a little bit today in

verse one, but also from the power of sin in our lives. Let's read Romans chapter 8, verses 1 and 2.
