So when I was given the opportunity to deliver a

presentation at Serling Fest this year, I reflected on how best to pay tribute to the great

man that we were there to celebrate. Because 2024 is a celebration in more ways than one.

Not only can we now visit Rod Serling statue in Recreation Park Binghamton,

but this year, on December 25th, we will be remembering Rod sailing on his 100's birthday.

And of course, December 25th is also Christmas Day.

And it got me thinking about how some of my most cherished memories of Rod Serling's work are the pieces that he wrote about Christmas.

His exploration of this theme spans his entire body of work,

yet with each return he crafts a fresh experience.

Sailing doesn't merely repaint the same canvas, he creates entirely new masterpieces every time.

Familiar threads run through these stories, but their diversity is astounding.

Christmas Tales, but I have to warn you, like many Twilight Zone episodes, this presentation has a twist.

We begin our journey not with one of Rod Serling celebrated Christmas Twilight's own episodes,

but an obscure curio that unfortunately has been lost to time.

As we know, early in his career, Rod Serling worked extensively in radio, and our first stop
