podcast on a Monday evening because Tennessee basketball has pulled off another

impressive win.

In the first game of the Maui Invitational,

Tennessee beats Syracuse 73 to 56.

It wasn't always pretty. Tennessee got off to a slow

offensive start but was able to overcome that slow offensive start was able to

overcome a couple of injuries and pull off a double digit win over a

Syracuse team that is not a vintage Syracuse team but a Syracuse team that does

have some nice pieces to it.

And West Rucker and myself, Ben McKee, are here to discuss Tennessee's win over

the orange, which feels weird to say because I think of Tennessee when I think of orange but Tennessee's

win over Syracuse to set up what will be a big time matchup on Tuesday night either against

number two Purdue or number 11

Gonzaga.

Wes, you know, it's not a huge statement win

because I don't think it's a vintage Syracuse basketball team, but a still just kind of the way Tennessee went about it still a very impressive win I believe here on Monday afternoon to kick off feast week

yeah been definitely more good than bad on balance I think there's certainly some you know rough things we can talk about but at the end of the day I think anytime

I think Syracuse came to play in that game I think Syracuse played physically I think it played pretty well It gave Tennessee some issues early on with some pressure stuff.

Not not not exclusively zone as Syracuse has been for the past God four or five centuries,

but you know a little still a little bit of mixing it there on
