This week will be revisiting episode 154 that originally aired on October 10th, 2011.

So this is somewhat of an Emporium Week.

Jeff talks a lot about the happiest hauntz tour that he went on at Disneyland.

But the highlight for me and the reason that I chose this particular episode was we actually had a chance to chat with the nieces of Mary Blair.

So you have to remember, this is still early in Mousalges recording history.

I think we were only about two years in at this point.

And we were starting to realize that if we were going to do, you know, really in-depth Disney research and Disney historical reporting that people hadn't done already, we were going

to have to start to look at alternative sources. You know, a lot of these Disney legends are aging

and sadly passing away. And people like Mary Blair, like we're obviously not going to have a

chance to talk with her. She didn't have any kids, but she did have nieces, these two nieces,

who she was really close with. And luckily for us lived in the Bay Area and at the time we're starting to kind of make some products based on some of her artwork. So they were more than happy and more than gracious to sit down with us over the phone and chat with us about their aunt and their relationship that they had with her. I think looking back on this, it was kind of a turning point for nostalgia again and just trying to figure out how to do things in a different way.

And for me, was just really special because I love Mary Blair.

And anytime I have a chance to learn a little bit more about not only who she was as an artist, but especially who she was as a person, is just a really special treat for me.
