five star cornerback Tony Grimes, the number one cornerback in the class of 2021, just now on CBS Sports HQ committed to the University of North Carolina.

He chose the Tar Heels over Ohio State, Georgia and Texas A&M, the other finalists there. And Barton, you are just a part of the coverage.

We got to hear from Tony a little bit, got to hear some of his enthusiasm, maybe a little look into the pitch that he's been getting from North Carolina and that North Carolina coaching staff.

I want to ask you, like, we're going to end up hitting a lot of different angles here, but I want to hit on something that you talked about in the lead up to his announcement that jumped out at me and has been my talking point on CBS Sports HQ.

How much of this do you think comes down to Dre Blie being a living legend in the 757 area?

I would imagine that's a big part of it.

That was like when when Mac Brown hired Dre Blie, that was kind of an eye opening hire because he's a, he's just a legends period college football wise.

He's a whole exception, just like, you know, like, just like a turn style queue of just like tick tick tick tick tick tick, and that thing go up. And it's like, so, so just I mean that to have a guy like that who's done it before.

And who's, you know, who's rep North Carolina and who's played at such a high level to be your, you know, one of the faces of that defensive backfield, like that's powerful and in of itself, but then to have the,

the, I don't know, serendipitous nature of the best cornerback in the country in the 2021 cycle, being a 757 guy from Virginia Beach.

And I didn't even realize Dre Blie was was a 757 guy myself, but clearly he carries some weight there.

And I think that was a big part of it. I really do.
