Today, is the news still funny.

So many people say that they're so sick of the news at the moment, but Nish Kumar isn't.

He's a comedian, his job is to make us laugh, and he's always banging on about what's going on in the news. He is also, word of warning, a massive

Ramona, so everything you're about to hear is totally his viewpoint, but at least he's still

able to laugh about it all.

Yesterday somebody just asked me if I saw myself as an activist or a journalist,

and I've sort of said, no, as someone who knows actual activists and actual journalists

what I do does not qualify for that status but yeah I think I like the idea of

using comedy to explore big issues at important subjects, largely because that's the sort of comedy that I was, a lot of the comedy that I was raised on is that sort of thing I think.

All right, so I mean we've just been watching the TV screen all this week.

Yeah. It's just so, such a mess.

Politics in this country is such a mess mess can you tell us something funny about it

I don't know what to say about I mean this week must be good comedy material around in what's happening

well here's the thing a lot of what's going on

is so inherently ridiculous a lot of what's happening is so intrinsically funny that I think as a comedian because people often say

to me this must be a great time to do be doing comedy about the news because there's so much

going on and your instinctive response is no because actually all of these

characters are so you know Donald Trump is a kind of walking character and a
