Welcome to the Nintendo Voice Chat Live post show for the September 12th, 2025 Nintendo Direct.

I'm Logan Planned, joined by my good friends, Jady Griffin, Seth Macy, and Nick Limon.

We just watched over an hour of news on

Switch 1 and Switch 2 games. We got a big Mario 40th anniversary block at the start. We got a big

fire emblem tease at the end, a Metroid date in there. There was a lot in this direct, so stick

around because for the next hour, we're going to break down everything that we saw. Let's go back to

the top and start with

analysis on some of the Mario portion. We got Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 coming out October 2nd with a

couple of Amoebo, Mario Tennis Fever coming February 12th, Super Mario Brothers Wonder, Nintendo Switch 2 edition,

plus meetup in Bellabelle Park coming spring, 26, a physical talking flower, a physical

Rosalina storybook. Nick Limon, what'd you think of the, oh, and the Yoshi game, Yoshi and the mysterious book in the spring. Nick, what did you think of the big Mario block of this presentation? Just a plethora of Mario that, one, I can't wait to finally just replay Galaxy 2 on Native Hardware for Switch 2.

That's going to be super exciting.

Weird choice to actually have it be a part of a dual collection since you could have got Galaxy 1 as part of the 3D thing.

So I don't know.

It's just strange choices all around, but nothing really stood out to me as the big Mario thing.

Yeah. Hey, Tyo, I think we can hear a little bit of feedback from the tree house or something that's playing in the background, if we can mute that video. But yeah, there was no big thing, and I think it's because Donkey Kong Bonanza was the Mario team's big game. A lot of people were still hoping for a 3D Mario, and I think this confirms to you, no, that was the A team that worked on Bonanza.

It was the Odyssey team that made that game. And that's now they have to start working on the next thing. We got Benanza DLC as well in this direct. So no big 3D Mario, but still a lot of Mario stuff. Jada, would you think? I mean, I think it's going to be a great way to kind of tide us over until we get that next big Mario Odyssey or whatever surname, you know, subtitle that they put for the next Mario game, whether it's Odyssey 2 or something else.

I think there's a lot of great stuff that they're pumping out.

I mean, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are some of the best 3D Mario we've ever gotten.

So like, you can't really be mad about those becoming easier to play in today's age.

So I'm hyped for those and I'm very excited to dive back into Galaxy 2.
