What's going on everyone? Welcome to NBC live just our reactions episode to the big Nintendo Direct. How how is everything? How are you guys feeling right now? I feel awesome. Nothing happened.

I'm beyond excited. This was unexpected in certain ways and I'm just so excited to talk about a lot of these things.

I'm really glad that we have this opportunity to do NBC right after the direct tap and usually we record right around that time.

Nintendo was like, no, we want that time slot this week and we're like, have it. What do you have to show?

We got bumped. We're here. I mean, I like top to bottom. I really enjoyed the direct. We'll get into the nitty gritty of it obviously for the next hour.

But I really came out of excited and I feel like I knew the least going into this one. There weren't like a ton of leaks. I thought like there was.

But it's yeah, my energy's high. My excitement is through the roof. The switch is going to keep killing it this year and that rules.

We'll get into the get into the big one. Oh man. All right. Let's just jump straight into it. Sushi strikers.

Yeah. Sushi's match three puzzle game. Super Smash Brothers is officially coming to switch.

I am so excited for this one. I honestly was not expecting Nintendo to announce this during this direct. I was expecting to hear this during E3 maybe even later.

It's such a it's such a big game. You you think that would be the center point of their E3 reveal makes you think what they've got for E3. But how awesome was that moment?

They did the little bait and switch again. I loved it because when I was watching this I was like, what could it be that because they introduced you know what we'll talk about later this platoon to like new single player DLC.

But this was completely unexpected and from left field to like including Splatoon in the surprise was just great. And this moment when she turns around if like it's just.

Oh yeah, because just so good just watching it like it opens up and you think it's like, oh more Splatoon like we're going to get some more Splatoon DLC.

What I've always loved about this Smash Brothers teaser trailers right and like I kind of want to rank them maybe for for IGN or something like that and just go through a list of how cool they are because they they never just straight up hit you in the head with this is a Smash Brothers trailer.

Yeah, like you feel like you're watching like gameplay footage for like a new Kirby game and all of a sudden Mario shows up and the world pans out and same thing happened here like this was coming off of like what felt like six minutes of Splatoon 2 which Lily was ecstatic for and the rest of us for kind of like.

Oh good that's good. I know I said I said I was the only one in the office who was super excited. I'm looking at my watch and I'm like the directs 30 minutes long and you know we've been going for 29 minutes and 45 seconds here and I guess this is it three hours alone on Mario 10.

Yeah, exactly. And then the character stop in their tracks and they look up and see the symbol.

It's just symbol in the eye and then this just gigantic silhouettes of awesome characters like Mario but especially Lincoln is breath of the wild costume. So I mean I guess speculation wise what is this game is this a port they said specifically that the last

Smash Brothers game was done it was complete took three years to get all those amiibo. I mean where are we with I feel like they would have gotten the port thing out of the way if it was a port.

The fact that they have a working title and just the way it was framed makes it seem like this is a new game. I mean doesn't mean that it'll have a full fledg single player mode or anything it might be like a tournament edition or something but like you know they tease Splatoon and wind and breath of the wild link from the get go.

I have a good feeling there's a full game.
