Summary

The clay man, who serves as the supernatural protector of the downtrodden Jews throughout the Diaspora, has long captivated the imagination of the public. We trace it's lineage through the Hebrew Bible, to the Talmud, and then examine it under the peculiar light of the dark ages and renaissance practices of Kabbalah.
