She said, well, you know, Nikki, we can send you in the space, but we can't bring you back. I said, why not? And I had lung cancer. And so I'm missing an organ. He said because your organs will and your organs

will move around and it will kill you. I said let me try this another way. Slow or loud.

I will die one day. So I just assume, you know, wait five years, 10 years, send me up into space.

I can tell you what I see and who I've met and what I'm running into.

And when I die, just open it up. And then the kids can look up and there I'll be going

around and around and around. I can say, oh, there goes, Nicky's. It works for me.

Nikki is a living legend. She's 74 years young, one of America's greatest poets, a daughter of the

Black Arts Movement of the 1960s, and the author of over 20 books, including some unforgettable

poems like Ego Trippin and Nikki Rosa. And I really hope no white person ever has caused to

write about me because they never understand black love is black

wealth and they'll probably talk about my hard childhood and never understand that all the while

I was quite happy. I'm proud to say my friend Nikki Giovanni is my guest today on Toray show,
