Hi, we're all set to roll with a big Thursday show, but first I got to read this email I received today from one of our Patreon subscribers about our 80s shows on the after party.

Hey Bob, I just got to say I was super skeptical about the 80s shows going into it.

I absolutely despise the 80s.

It's probably my least favorite decade I experienced so far.

Growing up as a young black kid in the American Midwest wasn't the easiest.

Like you said, many of us got the fuzzy end of the lollipop during the Reagan years.

I've tried to explain this over the years to my wife who grew up in a much different experience

as a young white girl in the Midwest.

She loves old 80s hair bands and still loudly plays music whenever I get trapped in the car with her

and she's got command of the radio. She has no idea how much Brett Michaels and Bon Jovi cut right through me.

But I say all that to say, damn it, you two killed it. I was fascinated by all the things you were able to bring back to mind without triggering

my typical 80s gag reflex. You actually reminded me that there were some things about the 80s

that really weren't that bad.
