Obviously, many of the key issues he talked about on the campaign trail front and

center.

Nikki Kelly joins us now. All right, Nikki, I look, I got to say stop the presses. This is the first

state of the state in a long time that I say, hey, a Republican did pretty good job. What was

it, what was the feeling afterwards? Yeah, I mean, I think he delivered his speech well. Everyone

in the chamber seemed, you know, happy with it.

Of course, most of them are Republicans.

So that works out.

There were definitely some people protesting the various things at the Statehouse,

which you don't always see at the state of the state, some moves on DEI and equity.

And outside, there was also a sort of immigration slash deportation

rally. And so that added a little flavor to the evening. So tell us about the, what was it,

the black caucus decided not to participate and they were marching in the

statehouse? What was going on with that? The black legislative caucus held a unity rally

...
