I'm Dan Cummins, and I'll be sharing a continuation of the current horror story.

So let's return to Jonesburg. Previously on

resurrection, a cult leader, Marcus Abraham Emery, was killed by a follower over accusations

of sexual abuse in 1975 in the town of Jonesburg, Idaho, after founding the children of Abraham

following what he interpreted as divine revelation from an entity

that is anything but heavenly.

He had preached moments before he had died that the world as we know it would end on December 6, 1980.

But now it's 1999.

And although his prophecy never came to fruition by the named date, his cult seems to be operating under the belief

that only the year changed and not the message. They still await the dawn of their new age,

which they now believe is nearly at hand. And somehow it seems that Zander Reed, the grown

child of two cult members, Tom and Lucille, is integral to the upcoming transformation. Zander is starting to doubt

nearly everything about his life, after twice seen the ghost of a man near the church, who also appeared

in a recent nightmare, and his increasingly evasive girlfriend, Tissy Rainwater, curiously has no

interest in discussing any of that. Zander was also approached by a woman named Macy, who

claims to be his real mother. But the only person around him who believes that Macy is, who she

says she is, is Zander's conspiratorial friend, Sammy Alvarez, who has just called and told

him that he has dug up information that will prove that the children of Abraham never went away when Marcus died, that they have been sacrificing people for years, that they have hidden

the truth about Zander's origin from him for his entire life, including making his real

mother Macy disappear. He's told Zander that he is going to use his job at the local radio
