Time now for the tale of the man upstairs.

In Missoula, Montana, down in the South Side District,

not far from the Clark Fork at 323 East Crosby Street,

there was an old house that prior to a few months back

had sat empty for years.

It wasn't much to look at for decades. A little two-story

place with a small third-story attic, built back in the 1920s, wrapped in its original and crumbling,

faded blue-gray, clapboard as best as siding, with a drooping front porch and a busted old

aluminum screen door to match. A big ponderosa pine rose up out of the small

backyard. Majestic maples and thick lilac bushes crowded the rest of the edges of the lot, the roots of

the maples buckling the cracked sidewalk out front and rising up out of the patchy weed-filled lawn
