The Welcome to another edition of creeps and peepers.

I'm Dan Cummins, and I'll be sharing another original short story of the fictional horror variety,

a continuation of the previous

episode. And to make it easier to jump into this one, here is a quick summary of part one of

Samayle's Curse. A young musician in Portland, Oregon, Samile Orcus, who fronts a black

metal band called Abadon Shadow, has killed several people in the Portland area over roughly the past

year, and cut

out their eyes and tongues. He's strongly connected to the dark world in some way, but we don't yet

know exactly how. But we do know he can find out what you're most afraid of and create powerfully

vivid hallucinations revolving around that fear to help kill you and make sure you die absolutely

terrified. Sam's real name is Zachary Knox. He's from just outside Montgomery, Alabama, and he's

been killing for at least two decades. He's also at least two decades older than he looks and claims to be.

Lizzie Chavez, great-granddaughter of the Beast of Bodies, Ezra Calhoun,

and Nightmare Fuels' premier monster hunter, has found out about Sam in some true-crime chat

rooms, and has reached out about him to a homicide detective in Portland she's worked with

before, Ray Salazar. She's, of course, planning on traveling to Portland to try and stop him,

but first she decided to head to Montgomery, where Sam grew up in a series of foster homes, to try and find out something about him that will either help her in prison or kill him.
