Jack can't get the door to unlock in the dark bedroom. His mother, Darlene, and his sister Abbey are both lying nearby and both dead. He doesn't know where Sam is, where Sam is, where

Simon is, other than almost certainly somewhere near him in the darkness.

And then from somewhere in the room behind him he hears his sister Abby's voice,

Jack!

Her corpse croaks.

Why did you stab me?
