0:00.0 | Hi, this is Joel in Victoria. Thanks for listening to our podcast and thanks for supporting the ministry. |
0:06.0 | If you enjoyed today's message, why don't you be a blessing and share it with a friend. |
0:10.0 | We appreciate you and pray for God's very best in your life. |
0:14.0 | We're God bless you. It's a joy to come into your homes and if you're ever in our area, please stop by. Be a part of one of our services. I promise you, we'll make you feel right at home. |
0:37.0 | I like to start with something funny and I heard about this pastor. He found a dead mule on the church grounds. He called the health department and they said they couldn't pick it up without authorization from the mayor. |
0:50.0 | The mayor was known to be rude and hard to get along with. When the pastor called, the mayor didn't disappoint. He started ranting and raving. Finally, he said, why are you even calling me? Isn't it your job to bury the dead? |
1:04.0 | The pastor asked God for the right response. He said, yes, mayor. It is my job to bury the dead, but I always like to notify the next of kin first. |
1:15.0 | Say it like you mean it. This is my Bible. I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have. I can do what it says I can do. |
1:24.0 | Today I will be taught the word of God. I boldly confess my mind is alert, my heart is receptive. I will never be the same in Jesus name. God bless you. |
1:36.0 | I want to talk to you today about night seasons. We all go through times that we don't understand. We're praying and believing, but our health isn't improving. |
1:46.0 | Our finances haven't turned around. We still haven't met the right person. We can feel alone forgotten like it's never going to change. It's a night season. |
1:56.0 | In these night seasons, you can't see what God is doing. Doesn't look like anything is happening, but God is working behind the scenes. |
2:06.0 | He does His greatest work in the dark. We don't see anything changing. We're still dealing with the same problem, but God hasn't forgotten about you. |
2:17.0 | In the dark times, when life feels unfair, you have to remind yourself that God is still in control. Just because you don't see anything doesn't mean that God is not working. |
2:30.0 | He doesn't always show you what He's up to. It's easy to trust Him when you're getting good breaks. Things are going great, but you have to learn to trust Him in the night seasons. |
2:41.0 | When things aren't going your way, you don't see anything happening. The heroes of faith all went through these night seasons. David as a young man defeated Goliath. |
2:52.0 | It was a great victory, but after that, he spent years running from King Saul, having to hide in caves, sleep in the desert. |
3:02.0 | I'm sure he prayed, God, deliver me from Saul. This is not right. But it was like the heavens were silent. God didn't change it. Saul was wrong. It was unfair to David, but the night seasons are a time of testing, a time of proving. |
3:19.0 | Are we going to get negative, live discourses, or are we going to say, God, I don't understand it. It's not fair, but I trust you. |
3:28.0 | I know you're not just the God of the daytime, but you're the God of the night seasons. |
3:33.0 | In the scripture, Ruth lost her husband at an early age. He was killed in a battle. She was devastated, heartbroken. |
3:42.0 | She could have given up on life, lived in self-pity, but she understood this principle. The night seasons are not the end. |
