With a one minute look at culture from a Christian worldview, I'm John Stone Street with the point.

According to open doors, a ministry that advocates for the persecuted church, quote,

more believers are killed for their faith in Nigeria each year than everywhere else in the world combined.

In fact, in 2022, over 5,000 Christians were killed in Nigeria.

That's nearly 90% of the total number of Christian martyrs that year.

And since 2009, 17,000 churches have been destroyed as well,

not to mention countless abductions in cases of abuse of young Christian girls. However, the government

has not acted in any meaningful way to protect the lives and the liberties of Christians or to punish Islamic persecutors.

This year, 30 U.S. congressional leaders have sponsored House Resolution 82, known as the Nigeria Resolution, which asked the State Department to

redesignate Nigeria as a country of particular concern.

The hope here is the resolution would be brought to the floor for a vote on June the 5th.

That's a two-year anniversary of the attack on St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Please call your representative.

Ask them to protect Nigerian Christians and to support House Resolution 82.
