It is time for a considered summation of where we are.

It is time, my friends, for a declaration of the state of the Union. Now, normally, this kind of inventory of the world in which we find ourselves would be

prognosticated upon by the Prime Minister. But today, it is going to be coming from me.

We have had no Parliament now for over a week. We have a second day of hearings going on in the Supreme Court,

in that fast that we call the carry-on panicking scenario, we have politicians

making promises, breaking promises, sitting on fences and jumping ship. And the question I think

now has to be asked, is there anyone out there telling the truth? EU Commission President

John Claude Juncker today says he has no emotional attachment to the Brexit backstop. Lib Dem leader

Joe Swinson says she's offering the politics

of respect, hope and inclusion, despite vowing to cancel Brexit against the voting power of 17.4 million

people. Labour's Jeremy Corbyn has bafflingly admitted to remaining neutral while giving the Euro decision

back to the people. And Boris Johnson says he has a plan and he's not going
