Today marks three weeks since Nicola Bully, a 45-year-old mother of two,

went missing while walking her dog in the Lancashire town of St Michael's on wire.

Nobody can explain what happened to her and the police say they remain open-minded.

My name is Peter Lawson and I'm an Assistant Chief Constable here with Likesh Constabulary.

I'm joined to my left by Detective Superintendent Becky Smith. Becky is the senior investigating officer,

SIO in the investigation to find Nicola Bully.

On Wednesday, during a packed press conference to update the public,

the police acknowledged criticism of their investigation.

I'm acutely aware that it continues to be extensive media interest,

commentary speculation and indeed some criticism of our police investigation.

And it wasn't just media interest. The police made a point of addressing the self-proclaimed

private detectives who've descended on the town.

You'll know that be aware that tick tockers have been playing their own private detectives

and have been in the area.

There was a boy that went missing on the same stretcher river, but get this.

It was exactly the same thing.

I was a little boy who started to become really, really weird.

No, I had been no weird detective at all, but I wanted to share something about Nicola Bully's Facebook page,
