They just cannot be canceled, whether you see it as a good thing or a bad thing.

I actually don't think cancel culture is real, or at least not in the way that some people pretend that it is.

And look, I'm not telling you that some people haven't had their lives ruined or upended, you know, exiled from public life or their careers torch or reputations that haven't been destroyed.

Because, of course, yes, there are some people who have experienced cancel culture in that way.

And some of them, rightfully so, by the way.

But others, not so much.

There's a sector of celebrities or influencers or

athletes or entertainers or comedians who bounce back again and again and again stronger than ever

with their fan bases intact and their bank accounts seem to be doing just fine. So the real question

that I want to unpack with you guys today isn't, is cancel culture real?

It's more so who does cancel culture actually apply to?

And why do the rules seem to bend for certain people?
