Summary

Nick Sanders has spent over 40 years circling the globe—on bicycles, motorcycles, and even a narrowboat—setting records and redefining long-distance travel. Known for his speed and endurance, Nick’s latest ride along the edge of Europe marks a slower, more reflective journey aboard a Royal Enfield Bear 650. But his instinct to head into the unknown and figure it out as he goes? That hasn’t changed.

You know, every once in a while, you come across a rider whose story is so expansive, so layered, that you can't quite believe it all fits into one life.

0:18.5

Nick Sanders is that kind of rider. For over 40 years, he's been circling the

globe on bicycles and motorcycles, even a narrow boat he did a long trip in, setting records,

0:29.4

and sort of redefining what it means to be a long-distance traveler. And for most of that time,

0:35.6

speed was Nick's signature. He was known for riding fast, covering huge

0:40.4

distances in short time, breaking speed distance records, and as well, somehow managed to take it

0:46.4

all in at the same time, like some kind of high-speed tourist. He even developed systems to keep

himself awake and riding for incredibly long periods of time

with very little rest, techniques that push both his limits and the expectation of what is even

1:01.0

possible. But on this latest ride that he's doing right now, tracing the edge of Europe,

1:06.7

things look a little different. He's on a royal endfield, a bear 650. It's a far cry from the high-speed machines he's used to riding, and it's not just the bike that's changed either.

1:18.3

Nick's pace has shifted too, slower, more reflective, but still very much his own style.

1:24.4

What hasn't changed is his willingness to throw the plan, head into the unknown, and figure it out as he goes.
