Counter of Gera. No will today. He had a last minute shoot that he was called into for his day job. So our schedules just didn't line up on this Thursday, which means I am flying solo. I will be joined in a bit by my guy Nick Roush of KSR to talk about all things Kentucky

But first, Nick Sabon's capital hill message was misperceived. It was. If you spent any time on the

internet this week, you probably saw some sort of clip of Nick Sabon speaking before a divided Congress on Capitol Hill.

Depending on which clips you saw you might have had different reactions. If you didn't see any

clips and instead just looked at the fact that a wildly rich former

college football coach is speaking in front of the federal government to try and get changed to this new era of college football that allows for student athletes to make money just on the heels of him admitting that this new era of college football that allows for student athletes to make money.

Like, maybe you connected those dots and rolled your eyes.

You might have thought, wow, Nick Savin, hypocrite, massive, massive,

massive hypocrite.

This guy is speaking about this system is creating a

competitive imbalance just as he finally calls it a career which ended with his

first three years stretch without a national title at Bama. Some said that Nick

Sabin didn't adapt and that he died. I would argue the guy winning three of the

four SEC championships in the 20-20s decade would probably push back on that a

little bit, but whatever. a lot of people can look at

those things and say well this is just an old man yelling at a cloud this is some

grumpy past his prime coach who wants the toothpaste put back in the tube and wants to go back to the way that things were back when he dominated the sport and kids actually had to listen to him.

There are some lazy takes flying around about just that, like really lazy takes.
