My guest, actor, and handicrapper, Nick Offermanerman I think occupies an interesting world between

kind of the punk ethos of DIY and the meticulous crafting of handmade um he certainly is known

for his world on parks and recreation but his newest film with our friend bob buyington is somebody

up there likes me nick thanks so much for doing this my pleasure and then some one of the things I end up thinking about you a lot in terms of the kinds of things

you do, and it goes back to when I met you at Sundance with Treasure Island is you do a lot of

characters who kind of have secrets. Sure, that's by far the most interesting kind of people

to play, I think. You know, if you put it all on the screen immediately, you don't have anywhere to go.

So I think it's a lot more fun to make people try and look inside you and see what you're hanging on to.

I think in general, in life, it's more interesting to disseminate your information on a need-to-know basis. Otherwise,

you end up boring people.

But these are these characters? I mean, thinking back to the character you played in Deadwood,

lead their lives of a kind of a presentational quality, there's a vanity in them too?

Well, I come by it honest, I guess.

I've always tried to issue the sort of mirror side.

I learned quickly in the business that there were a lot of people that were cuter than me.

And so I try to always achieve a look, but never necessarily the best look.

I think I remember when I first met you, I asked you about your credit on Treasure Island,

a terrific movie, by the way, that people should see, which in addition to acting,

also includes the credit Fluff Girl.

That's correct.
