And we want to acknowledge all of our ancestors on this beautiful day. This morning we had a wonderful blanket of snow and

it's difficult driving around in the weather, but we welcome this winter and we welcome the snow.

We need it, as well as our plant and animal life needed.

So I like to acknowledge all the ancestors of this place.

This is the traditional and ancestral territory of the Cheyenne Aracahoe,

Ute, Lakota, Foshoni, Kiowa, Camacci, hundreds of other nations that came to this area.

And we're walking in their footsteps and they paved a wonderful path for us and we like to

remember them at this time.
