Every once in a while, we think certain

kinds of actor-director combinations like Kazan and Brando or Scorsasian De Niro. And Nicholas

winding reference in the movie Drive, clearly his relationship with Ryan Gosling has that same

kind of actor-director connection. He's here to talk about his newest film. He's back again. Nick, thanks for coming back. Thanks for having me. But it felt like that kind of thing, that sort of thing where the director

is realized through the actor in some ways. Well, it was what I call a telekinetic relationship.

We literally were able to read each other's minds. It started out by having a very strange

meeting between us, you know. The meeting is now legendary.

But I can, you know, I was such in an emotional turmoil at that meeting that, you know,

that I was like an open aura of things going in and out of my head and out of my head.

And Ryan, besides me in the car, leading to this kind of idea of how to do a movie things going in and on my head and out of my head and and and and and and and and and and

that was his emotional relief and that was what we were both feeling at that moment as

he was driving me back to my hotel in Los Angeles and this is two years ago so
