So I did do a short introduction to NFTs in the blockchain for publishing episode 538,

but this takes it a lot further as the technology is improving fast,

and particularly on the environmental side, which I know people

are worried about. And big companies are getting involved. Even as we recorded this, eBay announced

that they would be getting into NFTs. I want you to think of it as just another format. And in the

same way, you embraced e-books a decade ago this will be the basis

of a new way of selling our work now the technology is moving very fast at the moment and people

are doing new things all the time i feel like it's a much more creative opportunity than just

limited edition e-books which we do talk about. But that is the basis of it.

It's a limited edition product, but it can be so many different things. And the music industry

is really blazing a trail and the art, the visual art industry. It's all about direct

to consumer, direct to fan, which again empowers the creator.
