Ben-se-elect, we're basically at the halfway mark of the year.

And maybe we can say that the phrase of the season so far is like ugly parody because

our crack stats team found out that coming into Sunday's action, there were nine NFL teams

with two or fewer wins.

That is the second most quote-unquote bad teams in the league in the last 15 years.

Does it shock you to hear that?

Does it surprise you on any level?

No.

I think that teams are worse at winning football games than they used to be.

We've gotten better at some of the decision making, right?

We've gotten smarter in terms of what fourth ounce we do and we don't go for.

We've gotten smarter at going for two-point conversions and managing, you know,

point spreads and like two-possession game, three-possession game.

Like, we've gotten smarter with a lot of this game management stuff,

but we haven't caught up in terms of like execution yet like the story of week nine was just like awful fourth down plays terrible execution

right the cowboys multiple times against the falcons the Seahawks against the Rams they're late like

the bear so many of these yeah so many of these games teetered on right sees, C-Sod on, a choice to go for a fourth down,

but then a failed execution, a bad play call, bad play design, what-have-e, Eagles, Jaguars is another

big one. And so I think that it doesn't surprise me that teams are losing games because it feels

like situational football, goal-line success, and short-yarder success. That's in a really bad spot right now for how much more frequently we're seeing those environments now play out in the modern NFL.
