Heather Dynich, I followed your career for a long time, but let me ask you something,

a little off-kilter. Have you ever been in a newsroom on an election day?

You know, I don't think I have. That's an interesting question. No, but I have been to the White

House to cover national championship teams. Does that count? I ask because this episode is, of course, airing on Election Day. And you are in a somewhat

similar position in terms of, let's just say, waiting for results to roll in. And I bring that up

because there is a certain anticipation that comes with being in the physical newsroom when you're

waiting for something to come down

that for a lot of us who still believe in journalism to some degree was the thrill for a very

long time. Do you feel anything close to that thrill for what's coming Tuesday? Of course,

in the college football rankings, not in anything else.

Not only do I feel that thrill, but I also know that no matter what happens, there's

going to be some angry people out there.

Do you have like a big board where you've got all sorts of things in your house projecting which

votes are going to come from which people and blah blah blah I'm curious to know how this looks

on your end yeah it's not so much a board as it is an old school pen and paper tablet but I am

scribbling and erasing and scribbling and writing down strength of schedules and all those

kinds of little facts as I go through these teams every night.

An anticipation of the first 12 team playoff era, just what have you heard from people around

the game, never mind people in the game in terms of what this day is going to be like.

And I think the difference this year is that we're not just focused on four great teams.
