Hello everybody and welcome to Inside the Huddle.

I'm your host Neil Reynolds on a Monday morning here checking in with my regular

partner, Jeff Ryan Boulders. We're going to look back on week 14, where Jeff, we had some pivotal

games, a big one in the NFC. We'll talk about bears and Packers a little bit later, but across the

AFC, some games that really kind of help shape the conference. Wow. And how about the Kansas

City Chiefs? Right now, this is the first time in a decade that they've had a losing

record in December. And Neil, they did not, as I watched that game, you've got to give credit to Houston's defense.

Houston's defense is really, really good.

But Kansas City just didn't make the plays that you need to make.

And it was almost like every one of their stars betrayed them.

Rice dropped the ball.

Kelsey dropped the ball that turned into a pivotal interception.

Pat wasn't very sharp, 58 yards passing in the first half. Yeah, let's start there then.

Sunday night football. So Houston beat the Chiefs 20 to 10. It was the fifth win in a row for

the Texans to move to 8 and 5. As Jeff mentioned, Padra Mahomes was off, probably because he faced what I believe to be

the best defense in the NFL.

I don't know what you think, Jeff.

But Houston, they are excellent on defense.

Mahomes were sacked twice, pressured so many times, three interceptions.

He had just 160 passing yards.

And I think Chris Collinsworth mentioned it in the commentary, Jeff. Just high profile mistakes. You know, like you say, the one you
