There's so many of them. And I hope you will enjoy this one. This is a time of year where we're

getting about a transition of the sport I talk about most. The NFL, sure, it's been offseason

since February, whatever the date of the Super Bowl was, but hasn't really been off

season.

You know, there's free agency, there's a draft, there's always stuff going on, there's the meetings

which I'll talk about, both in March and in May, and now there's OTAs, mini camps, etc.

But about the time I record next week, it's the shutdown.

You know, the NFL moves to a real offseason, not one we talked about the last few months, a real offseason.

Coaches, front office, they get away.

You know, when I was at the Packers, I hung around because back in those days, you had to wait around to do your rookie contracts,

which I'll talk about in this podcast, rookie contracts did require some negotiation.

I kind of hung around.

I was kind of the person in the office when no one else was, and I got away once everyone

signed in training camp.

But in a couple weeks, you know, maybe 10 days, it's over.

And players, coaches, staff, they truly have an offseason. And that offseason is from early

June to late July. And that's, that's real. You know, there's no business of the NFL going on

except for a couple contract situations, which always

seem to happen. But the offseason is coming up. So we're in this transition, and I want to talk
