Hi and hello sports fan.

Welcome to Sheck Show.

Let's jump right into it.

I'm back from a visit to the banks of the Three Rivers, delightful as ever, sad though it was,

saying goodbye to one of the all-time greats.

Nay, I declared him the greatest man I will ever know.

His name is Scott Neely.

He wasn't a great man because he changed the world at large.

Rather, what he did was made a world for his loved ones, for his family and friends,

that was a heightened version of reality

that rendered the rest of the world a little less important. That's what a great person does.

That's what he did. We honor him. And dark times, though, because his favorite teams all wore

black and gold and they are suffering. Let's talk about that. But let's talk about all our sports teams. First of all, with Eddie Spaghetti there,

down in his Florida manse. Man, this cat is all over the place, a jet setter across

sports America, and in his usual spot, seated high atop show business.

I think he's feeling pretty good overall.

As a Boston sports fan, let's hear from him, though, about it.
