Jay Glazer last night during the pre-game portion of the Ravens Cardinals pre-season

game said that the Ravens have offered Lamar Jackson more than Kyle or Murray.

The issue obviously is the Shawn Watson contract.

He got 46 million fully guaranteed for five years, 230 million fully guaranteed for

Watson.

Murray's got 46.1 on a five-year extension, two years tacked onto it.

It becomes a different deal altogether.

So you could easily get Lamar Jackson to 46.2 and say you're paying him more than Kyle

or Murray, but if it's not all guaranteed at signing and you absorb the 2022 season

at 23 million, I did the math last night.

It works out to something like 42 million a year on a six-year deal.

If you give him five years, 46.2 million on top of the one that he still has left and

so far he hasn't taken it.

And look, as Glazer said, it's an uphill battle.

And it is.

It is because Lamar Jackson is representing himself.

He's trying to get ready for the season.

Teams got the warning last week from the league.

If a guy represents himself, the only person you should talk to is the player, no one else,

no family members, no agents.

If he's representing himself, it's just him.
