Summary

Today’s word of the day is ‘slime’ as in Nickelodeon as in the NFL and ViacomCBS partnered to broadcast an alternate viewing experience for kids to watch the Chicago Bears vs the New Orleans Saints game. It was filled with slime and SpongeBob and animations and fun. It was a new and innovative way to show a game and capture a young audience. Will other leagues and networks try and capitalize on this new way? (8:15) Francisco Lindor was introduced by the New York Mets today. It was a Zoom! What a world. He was asked about long-term deal and although he didn’t say it… we all know he wants it done fast. (15:15) So You Wanna Talk To Samson!? Someone asked me if the Washington Nationals signing Kyle Schwarber had anything to do with the universal DH. (22:02) Review - The Infinite Race. (25:30) The Houston Texans hired the Korn Ferry search firm to find its next GM. Cal McNair paid Korn Ferry $600K and ignored them. So what happened? DeShaun Watson got very mad about not having any say in the GM search or the head coaching search. It is a danger zone. (32:07) Doug Pederson is set to meet with Eagles owner Jeff Lurie to discuss the future of the organization. Lurie wants to be sure of the vision that Pederson has for the team. What? (35:45) NPPOD - Let’s recap my Super Wild Card Weekend picks and give out tonight’s winner. (41:30) Let’s end the show with some Wait To See’s. How wrong or right have I been? #waittosee Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Slime. Nothing personal word of the day today is Monday, January 11, 2021. And the word

0:10.8

of the day is slime. I hope you were all watching the CBS game on Sunday, which was yesterday

0:19.4

was the Saints against the, I was going to say Saints against the Steelers. Can you imagine

0:25.6

the Saints against the Bears was the game. It ended 21 to nine on a last second unbelievable

0:32.4

touchdown catch by Chicago, but no extra point. You know, Koka, they changed the rule on that.

0:38.2

Do you know what the line was in that game? It was 10, 11 or 12 depending on when I guess you make

0:44.2

the pick and when you call it in. But the NFL made a rule just a couple of years ago that on a

0:51.5

touchdown score at the end of a game, there is no PAT or two point conversion attempt that is

0:59.6

allowed if a successful point after or two point conversion would not alter the score. In this

1:07.9

case, it would have altered the betting score, but not the final score of the game. So I'm watching

1:13.2

the CBS show and I'm on Twitter, seeing what's going on, thinking about today's show. And I see

1:19.9

something about Nickelodeon and I had totally forgotten because there have been no preview on CBS

1:28.7

with Tony Romo and with Jim Nance, by the way, Koka, I don't know if you heard the line that

1:34.3

Nancy gave it was the line of the weekend to Tony Romo. It was Christmas related and he said

1:41.0

somebody maybe drew breeze who cares who he was talking about. That the only person who had a

1:46.2

better Christmas than he did were the three Romo boys, which was an obvious shout out to Tony

1:54.9

Romo's new contract, making him the highest paid NFL analyst at about 17 large per year. So the

2:00.6

game is going on. And I'm reminded that there is a simul cast on Nickelodeon. And we had previewed it

2:07.6

on a previous nothing personal. I was super excited to look at it, but it had totally forgotten.

2:11.7

So I immediately went to the guide because Nickelodeon is not a favorite station. It's not saved. I

2:16.4

didn't know where it was. So I found it. I went to Nickelodeon and I listened with sound on,

2:23.4

which I don't do that often. And I watched and I noticed that the first down lines were moving.
